The new Parliament building is nearing completion. There is a demand to name it after Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.



New Parliament Building is nearly in completion stage. There is popular demand to name it after Dr B R Ambedkar and it will be a befitting tribute to the Father of Constitution of India, said Dr Udit Raj ex MP and national chairman of Parisangh. It was the Parsangh (All India Confederation of SC/ST Organisations) which raised this demand vide request letter dated 06.12.2020 to Modi Ji, Hon'ble PM . Parisangh staged a demonstration on 10th December,20 at Jantar Mantar, New Delhi. That time, the Covid was on its peak and yet it was done due to pressing demands from all over the country.

Parisangh thanks to honourable Chief Minister of Telangana State, Shri K. Chandrashekar Rao who is the first CM in the country to acceed our demand. Dr Udit Raj thanks to Mr K. Maheswar , Telengana President of Parisangh, who wrote nearly 800 appeal letters to President of India, Prime Minister, All Chief Ministers, All Leutenant Governors, All MPs (Lok Sabha & Rajya Sabha) and various political parties . Great Balladeer, Shri GADDAR is associated with Parisangh for this Noble Cause. He is guiding the Parisangh of Telangana and mobilising the influencive people for naming the New Parliament Building after Dr. Ambedkar. Without the support of Telangana Congress President, Shri Revanth Reddy, CLP leader Shri Bhatti Vikramarka and Shri Uttam Kumar Reddy, MP, Shri Asaduddin Owaisi, MP, Telengana Assembly could not have been possible to sensitise and to pass a motion in favour of our demand.

Dr Udit Raj, National chairman of Parisangh urged PM Modi ji to consider the demand. The Govt of India was apprised of demand on 10th Dec, 2020 and so far there is no positive response. If nothing positive is heard from Modi Govt by 15th Oct, 2022, countrywide agitation will be launched.

So far various Dalit leaders and MPs have been contacted who have lent their support and notable among them are Shri Jitan Ram Majhi, ex CM of Bihar , Shri Shyam Rajak- Ex Minister Bihar Govt, Shri Siddharth Parmar, a renowned dalit leader and ex MLA from Gujarat ,Shri Gaddam Vinod, Ex. Minister TelanganaIn . In this week, all MPs of Delhi will be given memorandum to support the demand.
